Yesterday’s calendar entry:
Believe in synchronicity. Don’t be surprised when someone you’ve been thinking about calls out of the blue, when the perfect book arrives unexpectedly in the mail, or when the money to finance a project mysteriously shows up.
- Wayne Dyer from The Power of Intention Perpetual Calendar
What is synchronicity? Dictionary.com defines synchronicity as: Coincidence of events that seem to be meaningfully related, conceived in Jungian theory as an explanatory principle on the same order as causality.
What synchronistic events have come up in your life? Since I’ve become more open to the signs in my life, it seems to be everywhere. I find that it’s a byproduct of the Law of Attraction.
I’ll happen upon a web page with exactly what I was looking for which saves me a tremendous amount of time.
Perusing thrift stores is a hobby of mine, and I’ll drop in and find the book I’ve been wanting just waiting for me on the shelf as pretty as you please.
It’s usually the same book I was recently looking for at my local Borders store or browsing on Amazon, and there it is at a fraction of the cost.
There have even been times when a business card has been stuck in there containing something I’ve been searching for!
Once there was a laminated $10,000 bill someone was using as a bookmark with a website address that hooked me up with someone who had the exact information I’d been hoping to find.
(Did I mention that my goal was to make an extra $10,000 at the time? Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm)
Synchronicity is one of those things that happen when you believe and are open to it. Many people will just rationalize it away as coincidence, however I choose to not believe in coincidence.
Synchronicity fits much better into my world.
What kind of synchronistic events have happened in your life?
