Motivational MusingsOne Motivational Mama’s Personal Journey to Enlightenment

Wow… Isn’t it funny how life happens when you don’t pay attention?
I can hardly believe how long it’s been since I last posted. So much has gone on since then. My mother-in-law took a turn for the worse and they did another surgery! Crazy, I tell you! But, being the trooper she is, she’s fought back once again and amazed us all! It wasn’t looking good for a while (hence my absence here) but things are back on the upswing.

With everything going on here (some I can talk about, others I can’t) I found myself in some serious overwhelm.
It doesn’t matter if you run a motivational website and blog, overwhelm can hit.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of focusing on the “not so good” instead of what you want.
In the past week alone:
Needless to say, I was feeling a bit deflated…

So, I realized that I had some pretty negative vibes going out!
The funny thing is, I just went out and bought Michael Losier’s book, Law of Attraction: The Science of Attracting More of What You Want and Less of What You Don’t and started reading it!
I just got to the part about resetting your vibrations. (picture a reset button)
So, I ask myself…
So, what DO I want?
From the above list, I want:
See the difference? A little regrouping, or resetting of vibrations (ala Michael Losier) and it has a totally different feeling to it. The same goes for any situation. Just step back, realize that you’re in a negative state of mind (and thereby attracting more of what you don’t want) and ask yourself that magic question…
So, what DO I want?
Make it your new motto… If you’re feeling down, depressed, stressed, you’re just focusing on what you don’t want. So, instead, give your energy and focus to what you DO want. It just makes sense… (and all the difference in the world.)
My main reason for this post is to show you that even people who make it their business to share motivation can get trapped in overwhelm as well. The beauty of the Law of Attraction is you are empowered to make the necessary shift and change your life around. Couple that with feeling a deep sense of gratitude and you’re on your way!
Feel free to comment and let me know how YOU’VE regrouped!

1Thought I’d step in and remind you that you DON’T WANT a co-worker… You DO WANT a NEW JOB!

2Thanks for the reminder! I’ll settle for a new co-worker though…LOL Or how about a thriving business that allows me to work from home? Sounds like a winner!
