Happy New Year! My wish for you is a happy, healthy and joyful 2008 with you discovering and living out your true potential.
2007 was a year of reflection for me personally.
I did a lot of spiritual growth work getting to know myself and my connection to my Higher Power.
I also got a little clearer on what I want to be when I grow up.
It sure is a good thing I did since I’m considered “middle aged” already!
Who stole my “young adult” status?
Didn’t I just graduate high school?
Where did those years go?
It’s amazing how we just move along, day to day, and suddenly wake up and life has happened and we hardly got to enjoy it.
Life is just a continuous string of moments. If we don’t stop to enjoy each moment, suddenly those hurried, frantic moments we tried to “just move past” or “fly through” have BECOME our life.
“Stop and smell the roses” is probably one of the most overused phrases I’ve ever heard but whoever created it was oh, so right!
My son mentioned the other day when he was here that when he got his license, all he was focused on was when he turned 21 in 2008 and how far off it was.
Unfortunately, when I talk to him, all he hears is “blah, blah, blah.”
He hasn’t figured out that “Mommy Knows Best” yet…
WAKE UP!
Enjoy today.
For today IS our life.
And tomorrow will be the same and before you know it, you’ll look back and wonder what happened to your life.
Enjoy the moment. Savor it! Even the “bad stuff.”
Remember, the roadblocks and obstacles are there to teach us. Learn from them. Don’t resist them!
So, what are you going to do TODAY to make it memorable and savor the experience?
For me, personally, I’m back to work today, so I am making this Day 1 of my Experiencing Life Fully (or ELF for short hahaha) journey.
I guess you could say I’m going to make some ELFIN MAGIC!
Sound stupid? Pretty much so.
If I do so, and you don’t, who do you think will be happier at the end of the day?
Probably me.
Sometimes stupid works. (I dare you not to think of the Forrest Gump phrase here)
Especially when it has a purpose of bringing joy into your life.
So, spread a little joy with me today…
You’ll be glad you did!

1ELFin Magic! I love it! It’s this kind of thinking that STICKS in people’s minds. And as I said in my email to you the other day, this is the kind of stuff I need to hear. The reminders to live for today and to be grateful for what life has given you. There need to be enough reminders until it becomes a habit to think that way. Stuff like Elfin Magic helps. Thanks for sharing!

2It does stick. Too bad the Keebler elves already use it…LOL
It’s my goal for 2008 to keep the reminders out there and offer what I can in the way of help along the way.
Thanks for the comment. I always enjoy yours!
