I mentioned before that I found lots of things I’ve written over the years when I was looking through old notebooks.
Today I thought would be a good day to share some and give my brain a rest while I recover from the flu… =-)
Here are a few of my thoughts over the years:
- To understand good, you must endure the bad. Otherwise you wouldn’t know what good really is. You need something to gauge it, and the bad shows you what good really is.
- So many people look for a flashing neon sign, pointing them in the right way. In waiting for such a blatantly obvious indication of what they should do, they often miss the subtle signs that are there to guide them.
- Opportunity finds itself attracted to the person with a dream.
- Each and every obstacle is a personal introduction to the real you.
- What assumptions about your life are you making that quite possibly may not be true and how is it affecting your life?
- I can predict your future – Do exactly what you’re doing now and you’ll always have just what you’ve got.
- Vaccinate yourself against excusitis, the disease of the failures.
- Remove the clutter from your life. Discard (or give away – even better) things with negative memories associated with them and replace them with soul-feeding items. When you clear out the clutter, you make room for the new.
- Let go of the past and embrace the present moment to create your ideal future.
- Remember the difference between knowledge and knowing. You can acquire all of the knowledge in the world but your knowing doesn’t occur until you have experienced the knowledge.
- Let go of your old story and be motivated by creating your new story, and make it a best seller!
- Numbness – The feeling we get by medicating ourselves with outside sources such as TV, food, or living through others and ignoring our true selves.
