Motivational Musings…Finding Extraordinary in the Ordinary
| ![]() |
I learned a couple of valuable lessons the other day from my daughter. It’s amazing what you can learn from anyone if you take the time to step back and think, “What can I learn from this?”
We were driving home and she likes to goof off and dance in the car and sing off key. She has an incredible voice but she likes to be silly. Well, as we were driving on the highway, I noticed the gorgeous sunset and got out my camera to give her to take a few pictures (you know I wouldn’t pass up a sunset, now didn’t you?)
Well, when I was getting it out, the song, Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
by Beyonce’ came on and I jumped at the opportunity to capture on video what I put up with every time we’re in the car so I can share it with the world.
Well, it became quite a little video! Judge for yourself:
Tell me you aren’t cracking up after watching her! Did you happen to notice the Jeep Cherokee that passes us and then slows down to get a better look at her lovely dance?
You’ve got to love someone who dances like nobody’s watching! I learn from her every day.
Oh, yeah, and if you’re wondering what the other lesson I learned from her may be:
Never assume the camera’s not recording…

1OMG! I could never drive with someone doing that in my car!
And no. I wasn’t laughing. I was dancing too.

2Wow!
How did she manage to control herself not to hit the camera operator? That is the special part.
She does have a lot of life in her. and not afraid to let others see her just let loose. Great thing to have and never to lose along the way.

3Yeah, isn’t she great? I wish I had an ounce of her lack of inhibitions! Yes, she has a ton of life in her and I hope she never lets that die!

7Glad you liked it, Michelle. Yes, she’s a riot! This is pretty much normal for her when she gets in one of her moods. I love it…LOL
