Priceless Lessons From My Daughter (Humor Warning)

I learned a couple of valuable lessons the other day from my daughter. It’s amazing what you can learn from anyone if you take the time to step back and think, “What can I learn from this?”

We were driving home and she likes to goof off and dance in the car and sing off key. She has an incredible voice but she likes to be silly. Well, as we were driving on the highway, I noticed the gorgeous sunset and got out my camera to give her to take a few pictures (you know I wouldn’t pass up a sunset, now didn’t you?)

Well, when I was getting it out, the song, Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)
by Beyonce’ came on and I jumped at the opportunity to capture on video what I put up with every time we’re in the car so I can share it with the world.

Well, it became quite a little video! Judge for yourself:

Tell me you aren’t cracking up after watching her! Did you happen to notice the Jeep Cherokee that passes us and then slows down to get a better look at her lovely dance?

You’ve got to love someone who dances like nobody’s watching! I learn from her every day.

Wow!

How did she manage to control herself not to hit the camera operator? That is the special part.

She does have a lot of life in her. and not afraid to let others see her just let loose. Great thing to have and never to lose along the way.

OMG!! that looks like so much fun. i still do that to songs i love while i’m driving. you should see me clean house!!!!

I hear ya, Miss Dan-yay-ul! (hey, I have to say it like you do!) Boy, do I miss that accent!

Maybe you should make your own video of you cleaning house! I’m sure there are lessons there as well…LOL

Glad you liked it, Michelle. Yes, she’s a riot! This is pretty much normal for her when she gets in one of her moods. I love it…LOL

Why isn’t she wearing a seatbelt? No one would see the humor or get to enjoy her light and all the life she exudes any more had just the right vehicle hit you just the wrong way.

Thanks for the comment and your concern. She ALWAYS has a seatbelt on. With my old van, it ran too far up around her neck, so it went under her arm where it was less dangerous. Not perfect, but better than not having one on.

If you really look hard about halfway into the video, you can see it pull a bit, showing that it was on.

I DO agree with you about seat belts, though. I don’t allow anyone in my car now (which has perfectly functioning seatbelts now) without their seatbelt on. You can ask my daughter… The first thing I tell her when she gets in, is “Strap in.” I hear… “I know, Mom… I know” quite regularly!
