I'll admit I've always loved fortune cookies. There's nothing like cracking one open, hoping to find the perfect fortune inside... (even though I've often received ones destined for the trash can...) Over the years, I've collected the fortunes every time I open one. I always thought they would make some kind of good business idea (along with the umpteen other business ideas sitting idle in one of my many notebooks. But I digress...) So, instead of sitting idle, I thought I'd share some of my favorites here in this first part of a series titled "Fortune Cookie Wisdom." Sit back and enjoy... You find beauty in ordinary things. Do not lose this ability. Wow... This one WAS for me! I hear this all the time from people who notice how I look at things differently than most. I've always tried to find the beauty in everything, as hard as it sometimes is... Be prepared to receive something special. A big part of manifesting anything is to be prepared to receive. Once you decide what it is, remember to believe in it, then prepare to receive. Your original ideas will get you well-deserved recognition. This one is for the bold at heart. Show the world what you've got. Show your passion and the world will stand up and take notice (possibly one person at a time, but take notice, nonetheless!) You will make a change for the better. Hmmm, also one that seems to be at the perfect time for me... Do something unusual tomorrow. Why wait until tomorrow? Do something unusual today! Be different. Stand out. Someone is looking out for you. Keep in mind, no matter what, someone IS always looking out for you. Isn't that a nice feeling? It is impossible to please everybody. Please yourself first. It's sort of like the idea of the mother on a plane using the oxygen first, then giving it to her child. You MUST please yourself first. Then you'll have the strength, power and endurance to help (and thereby please) others. Wealth is a state of mind. Truer words were never spoken. Everything is a state of mind, if you think about it! I may not have all of the monetary accomplishments I'd like but I consider myself wealthy in so many other ways. It makes me realize that what I want is just around the corner because I appreciate what I've already got and already have claimed my wealthy status in the most important place...my mind. Look with favor upon a bold beginning. Starting something new? Afraid to take action? Scared to move forward? To me, this fortune says to jump in and just take action!!! Do not dwell on differences with a loved one. Try to compromise. This says a lot to me. Especially the "not dwelling on the differences" part. Dwell on the crap, get more crap. Look on what you want, get closer to what you want. There you have it... Wisdom in a sweet crunchy shell. What could be better?
