We all have the same 24 hours in a day. So, tell me how successful people seem to have it together? The answer is simple, really... They INVEST their time, not spend it. Do you really think for a second that Bill Gates sits around watching reality TV? Do you think Donald Trump has his butt in front of the computer Stumbling, watching You Tube or surfing MySpace? I think not... When was the last time you:

• revised your goals
• read a motivational book
• meditated
• did something that truly made you happy
• listened to an personal growth CD
• planned for your future
• etc...

If you continue to fly by the seat of your pants, you'll continue to have the exact same life you're living right now. If you're truly happy where you are, then by all means, keep at it. However, if you're like most of us and would like something more, then I suggest you spend a little less time in front of the "plug in drug" (a great phrase I heard from James Arthur Ray) and start investing in yourself! Just a little time investment and it can truly make a huge change in your life. Think about it... The average person invests considerably more time preparing for vacation than they do preparing for their LIVES! How crazy is that? You only get to go around one time on this planet, so you'd better start investing your time wisely. If you choose to sit around in front of the TV instead, then you shouldn't question why you're not ending up where you want to be. I don't recall any success book mentioning the importance of your favorite drama or sitcom in getting what you want. Why should you sit around watching the actors make all the money and live their dreams? Why not do something to prepare you to live your own dreams? Sometimes a kick in the pants is just what we need to get ourselves moving... So, consider this your proverbial boot in the keister! (with love, of course!) My point is this: The time you have is yours to do with what you wish... Do you wish to spend it, or would you rather invest it? Just remember this... Investments pay off. Spending sucks.
