My mother-in-law just called me. She was released from the hospital this week into a skilled nursing facility. It's a true step in the right direction. She's learning to walk with a walker with one leg, and that would be a feat for your average person, let alone an 80-year old! Especially one that's been hospitalized for months. She said to me, "I never knew it would be so hard but with God's help, I'll be just fine." That's my girl.... She got her hair done today and called me to bring her curlers and bobby pins. It's so great to see her so spunky and full of life! I'm so grateful for how far she's come. Now, here's where YOU come in... Since she's got more energy she's feeling up to doing more but the frustration keeps creeping back in. I thought it would be great if she could get some encouraging cards to keep her motivated and inspired. She also loves to read inspirational books. Any cards or inspirational material would be greatly appreciated and will make her day. You can send anything to my address - Angie Lay P.O. Box 522 Festus, MO 63028 I'll pass along anything sent to her and I'm sure it will make her day!

Thank you in advance and I'll let you know what her reaction is!
